KUDA TECHNOLOGIES, the digital mobile online-bank licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria has hit its 1 million customer base.
To mark this special accomplishment, the Kuda Chief Executive Officer Babs Ogundeyi and the Chief Technical Officer, Musty Mustapher awarded its 1 millionth customer the sum of 1 million naira on Tuesday, the 26th of May 2021 at its Lagos office.
The lucky winner Mr. Abiola Jewoola received his price at the Kuda Headquarters in Yaba, Lagos.
According to a statement, the head quartered startup in London which launched in Nigeria in 2019 and operates under a microfinanace banking licence from the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN has witnessed significant growth since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic firmly positioning itself as a safe banking alternative at a time when visiting a bank due to the virus was an impossibility.
The company has guaranteed over the years the use of its efficient and safe services to its customers with the adaption of the bank’s proposition of zero fees on cards, account maintenance and easy transfers to any bank without cost.
The CEO, Ogundeyi in a statement further said that “ Kuda is set on reaching all Africans on the planet. The target of its mission is to make banking services, affordable, accessible and rewarding”.
He also added, “Our growth in Nigeria is remarkable no doubt, but most importantly is what we can achieve in other markets around the world”.
