Nigeria’s value-driven technology and innovation hub, Axia Hub, has officially launched a state-of-the-art co-working space in the city of Jos on. the 6th. of September,2024, to advance the local tech ecosystem. The facility, unveiled in a well-attended event, is part of the hub’s mission to foster innovation, collaboration, and economic growth in the city’s burgeoning tech industry.
The co-working space at Axia Hub’s central office, Old Nitel Office, Old Airport, Jos, provides a conducive environment for tech enthusiasts, startups, freelancers, and creatives to collaborate and develop groundbreaking solutions. With high-speed internet, modern office amenities, private meeting rooms, and communal workspaces, the facility is designed to meet the evolving needs of the tech community.
Speaking at the launch, Nnamdi Ibe, CEO of Axia Hub, emphasized the need for accessible workspaces in Jos, noting that the city’s growing tech scene needs infrastructure that supports innovation and collaboration.
“We see Jos becoming a key tech hub in Nigeria, and this co-working space is our way of investing in that vision. It’s more than just a workplace—it’s a space for ideas, growth, and community”, Ibe said.
The launch also attracted critical figures from the tech industry and government officials who commended Axia Hub’s efforts.
Datong Gwamnan, Director General of the Plateau Information and Communication Technology Development Agency (PICTDA), praised Axia Hub for crucially advancing Plateau’s position as a digital powerhouse.
“This initiative is a testament to Jos’s potential to become a tech destination in Nigeria. It reflects the commitment of local organizations like Axia Hub to ensuring Plateau stays ahead in the digital economy,” Gwamnan said.
A delegate from the USA ICT delegation in Kaduna, Mr. Segun, lauded the co-working space as a bridge for regional collaboration.
“This space is an excellent model from which cities like Kaduna can learn. We see this as an opportunity for tech hubs across Northern Nigeria to share knowledge and collaborate. Jos is definitely on the map now,” Mr. Segun remarked.
Alex Ladan, former gubernatorial candidate and advocate for Tech on the Plateau, also spoke at the event, emphasizing Tech’s importance in shaping Plateau State’s future.
“Tech is the future of our state’s development. We need to encourage more young people to tap into the opportunities provided by spaces like this. I commend Axia Hub for their foresight and commitment to the growth of the Plateau tech scene,” Ladan stated.
The launch comes as Jos is gaining attention for its increasing number of tech startups and digital entrepreneurs. Axia Hub aims to position itself as a central player in this growth by offering workspace and mentorship programs, networking events, and skill development opportunities for young entrepreneurs.

One of the attendees, Matthew Hans-Bello, a product manager with TASCK, told CrestHub, “This is exactly what we need.
