When we relaunched in June last year, with the mission to tell the stories y of underreported startups and founders in Northern Nigeria and the rest of Nigeria and Africa.
After 8 months of consistent reportage, we have decided to add another content form to enable inclusion for our visually impaired audience and other people who prefer audio content.
I’m thrilled to present to you The Hub Podcast – a 15-30 minute audio podcast about tech in Northern Nigeria and the rest of the country and Africa.
The North Has A Story To Tell
Sadly, the media is often crowded with the “bad stories” that come out from the North. The reportage overlooks the growing tech ecosystem in the region.
We started CRESTHUB with the desire to focus on telling these underreported stories. Recently, former Twitter boss, Jack Dorsey appointed a Northern Nigeria-based venture capitalist, Abubakar Nur Khalil to serve in BTrust, a bitcoin fund.
Aside from Khalil, there are several entrepreneurs and innovators in the region who are building interesting solutions.
Starting from Jos, this podcast will bring an anatomy of the region, looking at the achievements, the challenges and the prospects. We will have conversations with entrepreneurs, investors, tech talents and government officials.
In summary, the Hub Podcast intends to:
• Tell the Northern story well. Bringing to your notice the happenings around tech, startups, SMEs, entrepreneurship and the digital culture in the North and also, by extension Africa.
• Serve as a platform towards giving clarity on the subject matter on tech issues, bringing to your knowledge facts, figures and also, serving as a bridge between tech bros and non-tech bros alike.
The podcast, which would be made available every Wednesday by 7pm, and it’d be on our website and YouTube channel.
