The Grammy-winning rapper and Musician, Wyclef Jean in partnership with the Caribbean International Commerce (CICH), has announced that the duo are bringing revolutionary innovation and technology to Plateau state, Nigeria.
The singer and (CICH) signed a partnership with the Plateau State government to establish a technological hub that drives innovation and sustainability, according to a statement released last.
This project will covers over 4000 hectares of land (15+ square miles) in the state.
The renowned singer said the partnership represents a fusion of creativity, sustainability and economic empowerment.
“We’re bringing the music of innovation to the world and the world to the music of Nigeria. Together we’re creating harmony in both art and commerce, setting a new standard for a brighter, greener future” he said.
According to the statement, the hub would feature a state-of-the-art music and movie studio, breathtaking energy glass solar, sustainable housing development, and more.
The executive governor of Plateau State, Caleb Mutfwang also spoke on this partnership affirming that the alliance with Wyclef’s initiative is a doorway to showcasing the creative talents in Plateau state to the world, as the state is also a breeding ground for innovative developments.
Nigerian rapper who is the Plateau State government adviser, Jude MI Abaga took to social media to share how he met the Haitian Singer, Wyclef in 2009 at the MAMA awards in Kenya and his excitement over the alliance.
MI also announced that Wyclef is set to visit Plateau state next year to be part of the Jos Music Festival, an initiative he is working on. MI Abaga will be working with Wyclef Jean to implement the project.
