Workplace chat app, Slack is currently down for many users around the world, leaving them unable to access their virtual workplaces.
According to the company’s status page, it appears that the problems with the app started around 5:50 am today according to the outage on the monitoring site Down Detector.
As dozens of Twitter users continue to report the issue, the company has said that they are well-informed and that an update on the company’s website indicates that the issues are currently under investigation.
“We’re investigating the issue where Slack is not loading for some users. We’re looking into the cause and will provide more information as soon as it’s available,” Slack has told users.
Slack’s official page still reports incidents affecting a range of areas, including Slack login, sending messages and files, and receiving notifications.
With the number of issues on the chat app’s DownDetector page rapidly declining, Slack appears to be slowly returning for many users and appears to vary between devices.
An update and more information on the app will be available soon.
Recalling that the Slack communications platform in October of last year was not available to many users for more than 12 hours.
According to updates shared by the company on its official social media handles and on the website, connection issues related to its Domain Name System (DNS) had affected less than 1% of its total users.
The issues were then resolved 24 hours after the official social media app had released a statement.
However, reloading Slack with the command (Ctrl + R) may allow Slack users to acess the application again.
