TruQ, an in-state logistics company providing on-demand transportation services, has launched in Abuja.
The company announced this on Wednesday via its LinkedIn page.
“We are excited to announce that truQ is now live in Abuja. Our operations in Lagos and Ibadan have been successful, with high customer satisfaction rates to speak for it. Now, we have brought the same fast, reliable and accessible logistics solution to the nation’s capital. Businesses and individuals can now book vehicles on the go to meet their heavy logistics needs.
“Our B2B logistics operations help businesses enjoy high operational efficiency. We are taking our vision to champion automation to another level. Our solution makes pickup and dropoff of large and voluminous items faster, smarter and more accessible than ever,” the company said.
About the company
- TruQ was founded in 2019 by Foluso Ojo and William Fatayo. The company started as a third-party agent connecting drivers with users through phone calls and in 2021 launched a user app to enable B2B e-commerce businesses, merchants, and individuals to easily connect with truck owners. Its app has garnered more than 500 downloads on the Play Store.
- The app offers options for different cars based on the cargo tonnage that varies from Sienna, trucks etc.
- TruQ has made deliveries for several companies including MarketForce, TradeDepot, beta store, Omnibiz, Stova and BuildDirect among others. The company was also selected for the 2022 Startup Accelerator Program by Techstars Toronto Accelerator, a Canada-based launchpad for startups.
- TruQ has also locked $50,000 in funding from the Growth Lab accelerator run by V8 Capital Partners and $10,000 from Wharton Africa Business Forum New Venture Competition for early-stage startups.
What’s next for TruQ?
The company’s CEO revealed that microloans and health insurance are available to drivers on TruQ, hinting that “drive-to-own vehicles for drivers off TruQ’s asset tokenization and investment platform” are underway.
Moreso, the company is seeking to launch in another undisclosed city soon as it pursues its vision of becoming the first on-demand logistics platform for individuals and businesses worldwide.
