The startup grind Jos chapter welcomes Yusuf Ahmed as the new director after Mayourkun Adeoti.
Earlier this month, Ahmed was confirmed the Director after being acting director for over a year since the exit of Mayorkun.
Startup grind is feasibly the largest community of startups, founders, innovators and creators in the world.
Following the appointment, Ahmed expressed excitement over this groundbreaking achievement.
“I’m excited to connect our local community with the resources and opportunities they need to build, grow and scale their businesses,” he said.
He further revealed his vision for the community is to attract key partners and investors and to also foster networking.
Heading the community in Jos, Ahmed, who is the founder of Thrive Media Africa also mentioned he and his team intend to engage major stakeholders in Plateau State to equip entrepreneurs and enthusiasts with adequate resources they need.
Since 2022, Ahmed has been an acting lead and has hosted several events on the Plateau.
“As chapter director, I am to continue this tradition by hosting impactful and value packed events that empower entrepreneurs and startup founders in Jos.” he added.
Ahmed has greatly impacted the tech ecosystem in the North as he heads the Thrive Media Business Breakfast and partners with the Network of Northern Incubators and Accelerators.
