Google, the world-leading tech giant revealed earlier today the new features added to the pixel 8 product.
The company explained that individuals using the product can now check theirs or other people’s temperature by simply scanning their foreheads.
The data from this scan can then be saved to individuals’ Fitbit account to better understand one’s health.
At the initial launch of the thermometer app, Google announced it could be used to track babies’ milk bottles or coffee. After further upgrades and approval from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the leading tech company announced the app can now take body temperatures.
The company also announced the Circle to search, a feature exclusive to Pixel 8 and 8 Pro users, released last week. It makes it easier to engage google search whenever you’re faced with a question or using an app by making motions like circling or highlighting.
Users can easily make searches from the interface they are on, without having to put a pause on what they are working on or taking a screenshot that reminds them for a reminder. The company also notes the feature would be integrated into the new Galaxy S24 series smartphones to be launched on the 31st of January, 2024.
Another additional feature the tech giant introduced is the Magic Compose technology, a generative AI exclusive to pixel 8 and 8 pro devices. This AI helps write and restructure messages to help you sound more professional.
Lastly, the photomoji feature allows users to edit their photos into reactions using AI. Users can take photos and transform them to “photomoji” which can be used in conversations. Like stickers used on social media. These features would all be made available to the public beginning today.
