About the Company.
EverydayMoney app is an online fintech that empowers young people to achieve their financial goals and plan effective budgets, especially in a country with a fragile economy such as Nigeria. Launched in June 2023, the company has 200+ users while in beta, with transactions and partnerships with Auto Gas Nigeria making use of the App for collection of payments for training and also the University of Jos School Union Government leveraging the platform for payment of SUG dues.
The fintech has been through rocky paths such as financial challenges, Naira devaluation, outstanding debts and unavoidable staff layoffs. Despite these challenges, there has been a visible rise in the tech ecosystem in Northern Nigeria.
Daser admitted these challenges and shared efforts made by the company to calm these turbulent waters by seeking new ways of improving the app, speaking to prospective customers, seeking means to improve its services, and this endorsement of blaqboi also as a strategy to connect on a deeper level with its community.
Recall that he emphasized on the need for collaboration amongst innovators in the country to facilitate rapid scaling during the CHRESTHUB founder Mixer Jos event, which was held in August 2023 with the theme “building from the North”. An event that brought more recognition and users to the Everyday Money App.
