The project manager at IHUB Jos, Mr Kim Musa has said that the world is rapidly embracing blockchain technology, urging businesses to invest in it as it transforms into the emerging currency of the modern era.
Mr Musa said this while speaking in a panel discussion at the Webfest 3.0 on 10th December, 2023 in Jos on the theme “Harnessing Blockchain Technology & AI in Tech for Explosive Business Development”.
The convener of the event, Dinfa Dashe, said the aim of the event was to bring together tech minds, unite Web3.0 experts, enthusiasts and those ready to explore the tech space.
“By bringing together diverse voices and expertise, we aspire to build a foundation for ongoing community programs that will empower individuals, particularly newcomers, to easily navigate and contribute to the Web3.0 landscape” he said.
A panelist, Mr Ponfa Miri, who is a Social Media Analyst and Marketer, spoke on the diversity and benefits of blockchain. Blockchain can be integrated into several sectors like agriculture, health and the entire NFT sector by safekeeping the system and data from hackers or manipulation.
He also emphasized the need to groom talents in these said sectors to alleviate growth and productivity, adding that blockchain is changing the business world and business owners should key into it.
Some of the panelists include IT consultant, digital marketer, Imb Kallamu, Investor Analyst Johnpaul Nwobodo,social impact strategist, Ponfa Miri; software and business engineer, Jerry Doubles.
In attendance were over 200 participants and several speakers who are stakeholders in the tech ecosystem, they spoke individually in a panel discussion
