The Plateau State Information and Communication Development Agency (PICDTA) has added a user interface and user experience (UI/UX) design course to the 5th edition of its Code Plateau Bootcamp.
Why it matters:
Following the technological advancements in today’s world, UI/UX designers are now one of the most-sought professionals in the Nigerian corporate space. They are essential to improving customer service, generating revenue streams and also, and providing what users require in simple and intuitive ways.
The introduction of UI/UX design to the 3 month full-time immersive Boot-camp designed for youths who want to start their career in IT and kick-start their portfolio of real-life projects that utilizes modern technology stacks would see to its alignment with the sustainable development goals of 1, 4, 8 and 10.
This means that fellows of the Code Plateau 5.0 would have the necessary skills to combat poverty, give access to quality education, ensure the decency around work and economic growth and lastly, provide a workspace for reduced inequality around the tech ecosystem.
