The Plateau state Information and Communication Development Agency (PICTDA) has commenced the application process for the third batch of CODE Plateau Bootcamp; a three-month immersive boot camp designed for young people who want to start their career in IT and kick-start their portfolio of real-life projects that utilizes the modern technology stacks.
The boot camp which began in 2019 has invested in human capacity development to ensure the employability of young people across the various sectors of the economy and has also deepened the foundation of the Silicon Plateau. Recently, five of the CODE Plateau 2.0 accessed a paid internship after the completion of their training (for details on this, kindly click here to read)
The boot camp is made up of a mix of virtual and real-life training sessions targeting to skill up the fellows in the areas of coding, programming, UI/UX designs, IT basics, and software development among others.
In a previous news reports, the Director-General of the agency, David Daser had previously stated that the boot camp forms part of the framework for the development of ICT as an industry which is vital to the economic growth of Plateau State in line with the mandate of PICTDA to drive a technology value in the state.
According to publicity materials made available to CREST HUB, intending applicants must have a functional laptop and are residing within the Jos metropolis (or be willing to relocate during the period of the Bootcamp – however, accommodation will not be provided).
