OPay, a leading Nigerian fintech company has made known its plans for innovative growth in strategic areas such as customer service, security of data and its responsibility to its customers in 2024.
The fintech company with its fast growing customer base revealed in a statement on Tuesday its plans to reach a higher landmark in the new year.
The statement signed by the chief executive officer, OPay, Dauda Gotring, states that the company aims to advance above its achievements in 2023 and build on exploring innovative opportunities in 2024.
“In 2023, OPay gained a significant milestone gaining dominance and relevance in the financial industry evident with the exponential growth of its customer base, people empowerment with the agent and merchant networks, and providing affordable financial services through our robust technology payment platform, resilient to our mission in making financial services more inclusive through technology”.
In 2023, the company which served as one of the major digital banking providers in Nigeria during the cash crash in 2023, providing its users with seamless, fast and reliable transactions, opened 17 customer center placements across the country to cater to customer needs and make its services more available through technology.
Following these achievements, the fintech was awarded by various prominent organizations for its remarkable financial services to its customers some of which include; recognition as “BEST FINTECH” by social impact and market penetration ADVAN African Consumer Choice Award 2023, and in September 2023, CNBC and Statista global ranking as the “sole” Nigerian Digital Platform.
OPay noted its aim to build its modern technology and provide its customers groundbreaking financial services in line with the company’s principles of “excellence in innovation” In 2024.
In addition to the 17 customer service locations made available by fintech, OPay has built a recent impeccable technology, an “online customer service”, made available on the app with over 500 staff members to attend to customers through active chat rooms.
According to the statement, OPay will continue to provide customers with the best payment user experience, more value added services on the platform to customers, and continually make financial services more inclusive using technology.
Other goals the fintech company says it wants to achieve in 2024 are, platform security through effective leverage of technology, corporate social responsibility by giving back to society and empowering the youth with entrepreneurial skills.
