The Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB) has announced the beginning of application form sales for both intending UTME and Direct Entry (DE) students to begin on the 15th of January, 2024.
The examination institution said that candidates have until the 26th of February, 2023 to complete their registration process.
In a statement on Wednesday, JAMB disclosed that the MOCK-UTME was set to take place on March 7, 2024 and the UTME exam was slated for 19-29 of April, 2024.
The registration fee for candidates who choose to opt for the mock examination is N7,700 while those who opt for just the UTME are to pay N6,200.
The statement reads: “Based on the series of recommendations emanating from a two-day Information Technology (IT) and Management Retreat held between 26th and 28th November,2023, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB has fixed 15th January to 26th February, 2024, for the sale of it’s UTME application document”.
Also in a virtual meeting with the various commissioners of Education around Nigeria, JAMB Registrar, Prof Ishaq Oloyede, announced that the board has added both cognitive and verbal reasoning tests for prospective candidates from henceforth.
According to the registrar, the tests would include various subjects of study like abstract, verbal, mechanical and numerical reasoning, and also put to test the capacity of candidates.
“It is an intelligent test that will measure the candidates cognitive skills and will not be the usual subjects such as Mathematics, Chemistry, Government or Physics”, Oloyede said.
The Board also urged prospective candidates to begin printing their examination slips from the 10th of April, 2024.
