Nigeria’s apex financial institution, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has launched the digital currency, eNaira after its postponement from the earlier slated date of October 1st.
The digital currency which is now live and available for download has placed Nigeria in the lead as the first country in Africa with a working Central Bank Digital Currency (CDBC).
Interested persons can now visit the website to download the eNaira speed wallet as its availability is for both iPhone and Android users.
How To Sign Up
According to the apex bank, to sign-up on the eNaira speed wallet, you would be required to input your First Name, Last Name, Date of Birth, State of Origin, and Email, as exactly as captured during your BVN enrollment.
Your banks would assist in validating and updating your BVN details to ensure seamless enrolment to the eNaira platform.
